วันที่ 29 มิถุนายน 2554 เวิร์ดเพรสรุ่น 3.1.4 ได้ออกให้ดาวน์โหลด โดยการอัปเดตในรุ่นนี้เป็นการแก้ความปลอดภัยจากเวิร์ดเพรสรุ่นก่อนหน้า สำหรับรุ่น 3.1.4 รุ่นของฐานข้อมูล (db_version in wp_options) ยังเป็นรุ่น 17516
